Firestorm

Abstract red and black marbled texture with fluid patterns and swirling lines.
Embers of fire
Destroy their path
But carry
shattered vessels of holiness
Searching,
always,
for reunion.

Yet
fire can be frozen
Wind, stilled
by paint and pen
clay, thread,
letter and lens.

The art maker
can capture
a storm
sealing the fire
in ice
making a prayer of repair
Tikkun olam

What’s broken
Can be reconfigured,
and repurposed.

Transforming into sparks of hope.
