Blessed are You, HaShemLit. The Name, referring to the ineffable name of God; used as a substitute for any of the more sacred names of God when not speaking in prayer. Particularly used in conversation., who hears the prayers of Your people.
Please, Holy One, hear the prayer
I have written in my heart.
I cannot find the words that will
bring Your people close to You.
Your call awakened me from slumber.
My loved ones sleep. I wait in silence.
Tears fall on my unspoken prayer.
Writing prayer can be a lonely task.
Let me feel the presence of others
who also wait for words of joy and sorrow,
of grief and dancing, for words that
 move Your people’s hearts.
Who write prayers that sing
 of passionate love, who create
 psalms of justice and peace,
the deepest prayers of the human soul.
In northern lands of cold and ice,
In southern islands of warmth and sun,
In pulsing city nights, under quiet country skies,
In Your Holy City, JerusalemLit. City of peace From the time of David to the Roman destruction, Jerusalem was the capital of Israel and the spiritual and governmental center of the Jewish people. During the long exile, Jews longed to return to Jerusalem and wrote poems, prayers, and songs about the beloved city. In 1967, with the capture of the Old City, Jerusalem was reunited, becoming "the eternal capital of Israel." Still, the longing for peace is unfulfilled.,
We listen for Your Voice.
Please, Holy One, hear the prayer
that lies unspoken in my heart.
Write the words that will bring
Your people close to You.
Blessed are You, HaShem, who writes the prayers of Your people.
