A Prayer for Takhanun

Merciful God,
Compassionate God.
Release my soul,
Accept my prayer,
For the sake of Your Holy name.

Oh, Guardian of Israel,
I place my trust in You
I place my hope in You
I place my faith in You
Protect your people Israel,
Who proclaim that You are One.

Forgiving God,
Redeeming God,
Rescue me,
Forgive my sins,
For the sake of Your holy name.

Oh, Guardian of the unique nation
I place my trust in You
I place my hope in You
I place my faith in You
Protect your unique nation
Who proclaim that You are One.

Loving God,
Gracious God,
Shield me,
Save me,
For the sake of Your Holy Name.

Oh, Guardian of the holy nation
I place my trust in You
I place my hope in You
I place my fiath in You
Protect Your holy nation
Who proclaim that You are One.

For You are the Eternal,

And the Eternal Is One.
