For a Stolen, Damaged, or Defaced Mezuzah

A hand touches a mezuzah mounted on a door frame.
If your mezuzah has been stolen, damaged, or defaced.
If you will shortly put up another one.
If you honestly feel afraid to.
May you have the courage to mark your space
Create your space
And the defiance to take up space.
You are Here.
We are Here.
Your People is still Here.
And because you let yourself be seen
We can all be seen.
And in this moment, we are with you.
Blessed is the G-d whose Presence fills all spaces, including the empty ones, from our ancestors’ tents to our homes here today.
