Psalm of the Trees

Bare winter trees and tall evergreens stand against a clear blue sky with snow on the ground and distant hills.

Thank You for the rich loamy soil in which I sink my roots
Thank You for the clay soil that gives me a challenge
Thank You for the sandy soil so light and delicate
Thank You for the birds that build their nests in our branches and sing with us in the morning light
All praise to You who created the sun which warms and feeds us
All praise to You who sends gentle drenching rains
All praise to You for the sparkling stars and moon who keeps us company at night
But please do not send the hurricane winds, or torrential rains, fire or drought
We, like all living beings desire to live, desire to flourish
We reach our branches up to You
We reach our roots down to You
Source of all, womb of the world
Wow! Thank You! HELP!
