God, Source of Life, we discern your presence through our actions here on earth.
We know you as Healer through the care and attention of the healers we encounter.
Compassionate One, be near to nurses in this time of pandemic as they put their lives at risk.
Rock and Protector, help them be safe in their holy work. Guide us and our elected leaders to provide the resources they need.
Creator and Sustainer, strengthen nurses so that they may persist in the face of fatigue. Help them find courage to persevere through fear and despair. Shine light for them at dark moments.
Refuge and Comforter, protect their families and let them return home and receive tender care themselves.
God of Renewal, accompany nurses and us through this time of challenge. Grant us a fraction of their courage and tenacity so that we may emerge from this crisis to create a world that is safe and just and equitable.
