A Kavannah for Psalm 150

a coffee mug sitting on a sunny window
Halleluyah

Praise Yah with the first yawn of the morning; praise Yah in the sunlight that filters through the window and floats on dust motes.
Praise the Eternal as you cross the street safely; praise the Eternal as you wait for the subway, patiently or impatiently.
Praise the One who dwells in the chilly sanctuary; praise the One who dwells in the hallowed space between hevruta partners and between those who teach and those who learn.
Praise Adonai with clapping hands and hugging arms; praise Adonai with the power of your voice, soft as dandelion fluff or bold as my mother’s coffee.
Praise God with a deep breath from the essence of your soul; praise God with the gift that is time that stands still while you take in the sanctity of this moment.
