Virginia Spatz

Virginia Avniel Spatz (she/her) is a writer who has been living and working on land that was once home to the Nacotchtank people and now known as Washington DC for decades. She is author of Rereading Exodus along the Anacostia: Lessons from Cross River Dialogue and blogs irregularly on Jewish topics at Songeveryday.org and Rereading4liberation.com. Originally from Chicago, she has published on a range of topics, locally and nationally, works on We Act Radio programming, and helps organize Charnice Milton Community Bookstore. Virginia is most active these days in Hill Havurah (DC) and Tzedek Chicago congregations and in SVARA learning community.
