Rabbi Tsurah August received Smicha from Rabbi Zalman Shachter Shalomi/AOP and Rabbinic Ordination from AJR; Chaplaincy CPE through the HealthCare Chaplaincy NYC, in 2003. Before beoming a rabbi and chaplain, she was a management consultant for London August Associates Ltd, NYC – and prior to that Tsurah was a professional dancer, choreographer and movement educator for people with a broad range of movement and cognitive abilities. At age 78, dance is still her beloved form of prayer.
