Rabbi Debbie Reichmann is the Rabbi and Spiritual Advisor to the Interfaith Families Project (IFFP), a D.C.-area community celebrating Jewish and Christian traditions. She works with interfaith, multi-cultural, and same-sex families to craft modern rituals rooted in tradition.
Ordained in 2012 by the Jewish Spiritual Leaders Institute as a Jewish Universalist, her training spans Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Humanist movements. She is an active member of the Washington Board of Rabbis, the Union of Jewish Universalist Communities, and the International Federation of Rabbis.
Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Greater Washington and spent seven years with Georgetown University’s Campus Ministry. Before the rabbinate, she spent a decade in health policy. She holds a joint JD/MPH from Georgetown and Johns Hopkins and a Master of Liberal Arts from Georgetown (2016), researching religious spaces and the internet.
