Natasha

My name is Natasha Vengrinovich.  I’ve been writing since I was in the third grade.  I write to feel my feelings more. I paint to get them out of me and in some colors.  I love the way a good word feels in a sentence when it conveys the right emotion and I love that words can brighten a day.  This is my first time ever submitting my poem to an art project and i’m hoping whoever reads the poem will smile thats really enough for me.

I write poems to solidify the human experience with the natural world. Humans have finger prints and leaves have veins.  We all benefit from the light and being in community. Words have meaning to me and they create choices.  Choices to be kind, choices to be understanding, i write so that my words can help people see that we are more similar than we all feel and that sometimes it just takes all collectively connecting to nature to see it.
