James Feder is in his fifth and final year of rabbinical school at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. He will be ordained in May 2025. A graduate of the University of Glasgow (MLitt History with Distinction) and the University of St Andrews (MA Honors History), James previously worked in journalism as a writer and editor before going on to manage communications for an international consortium of non-profits working to advance a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. While at HUC-JIR, James was a Tisch Fellow and served as the rabbinical intern at Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield, NJ (2022–2025) and at Finchley Progressive Synagogue in London (summer 2024).
