Jade Gordon is a third-year rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. Outside of school, she teaches religious school at local LA synagogues and serves as a student rabbi in Amarillo, TX.
Originally hailing from the suburbs of Dallas, Texas, Jade’s journey led her to Stephen F. Austin State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Political Science. Their Jewish journey has taken them from founding the first student-run Hillel at SFA to, after graduation, serving as the Springboard Social Justice Fellow at Tulane Hillel in New Orleans, where she also served on the Tribe board at Gates of Prayer Synagogue and lived in the Moishe House. Jade loves building welcoming spaces, teaching, and learning alongside others.
When they are not studying or teaching, you can find Jade hiking outdoors, reading a good fantasy novel, or doing a new arts and crafts project while relaxing with her cat, French Toast.
