Submit to Ritualwell

Ritualwell is a living archive of Jewish rituals that draw on both tradition and the contemporary world. The majority of the work published here is user-generated, reflecting the creative and evolving practices of our diverse Jewish community. We welcome year-round submissions of rituals, prayers, poems, audio/video, and blog posts on an array of topics relevant to contemporary Jewish life. Please spend time perusing the website to get a sense of what we publish.

Before choosing work to submit to Ritualwell, we encourage you to ask yourself: “How might this piece be used by others?” You might consider: Is this piece specifically Jewish? Would this piece be used for a particular holiday or Shabbat ritual; would someone bring this to a hospital to share with a sick friend; would this be used as part of a life cycle ritual? We often receive submissions of beautiful poems, but we might choose not to publish them because they do not go beyond the experience of the self. Please keep this in mind as you consider submitting.

Click below to submit.

In addition:

1) Do not send more than five submissions per month.

2) Please submit one piece (poem, prayer, ritual, ceremony, etc.) pasted in the “full text” field on the submission page. Do not submit PDFs.

2) Response times may range from 1 to 4 weeks. We do not publish everything that is submitted to us, and we cannot offer specific feedback on submitted pieces.

3) If we do select your work for publication, we may offer editorial suggestions and ask for your approval of edits before publishing. Thank you for sharing your work with us
