Turn It and Turn It Again

There is something sacred
When we find ourselves upside down.

Only there do we discover that each of our movements is part of a larger circle,
Whose center leads us to our own inner knowing.
And yes, too, the ultimate meaning of
“Turn it and turn it again.”
Which does not merely apply to the Law
But to every last life on earth.

For those who choose human beings, try choosing Torah scrolls.
For those who choose Torah scrolls, try choosing human beings.
For those who choose humanity, try choosing divinity.
For those who choose divinity, try choosing humanity.
Turn, turn and return.
Come full circle in law and life.
