The Non-Breathing Meditation: For Those Who Cannot Breathe Due to Illness

This a non-breathing meditation.

For lungs still blocked and throats still sore.

The kind to say when a heart beats, and hurts.
When a soul survives, and aches.

What do we say and how do we breathe?

As we struggle to find words and breaths, let us form pauses that allow us to listen to our discomfort and unrest, and seek the voice that reminds us we are not alone.

Sh’ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Ehad.

Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.
