The heart is not meant to sit still
It is meant to love G-d and to serve
The heart is not meant to sit still
It is meant to lift our spirits, humble our bodies and put our souls on the line for the greatest service we are capable of: creating a world fit for G-d and all of us to live in
How can we possibly mark זמן שמחתינו, the time of our joy, amidst the joylessness of gun violence?
When we see our hearts as G-d intended, as meeting places for joy, prayer, service and action, we too, can use our lives as G-d intended
As carriers of Deuteronomy’s timeless message:
The heart is not meant to sit still
And neither are human beings
