Israeli Food, American Kitchen: Yom Ha'atzmaut Cooking Class

Led by Adva Chattler
Thursday, April 15th at 12:00pm–1:00pm ET
Celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence day, by learning how to make a signature Israeli meal: Falafel. Falafel arrived to Israel with the many Middle Eastern Jewish communities that migrated to the newborn Jewish state 73 years ago and became a well-loved street food that can be bought at almost every street corner. Join Adva Chattler, an Israeli-Mizrahi Jew who loves food, cooking and teaching about her culinary heritage, for a cooking session to learn how to make real Falafel from scratch along with all the fixings!
In the session, you will learn how to make:
  • Falafel
  • Hummus
  • Falafel fixings – Onion Salad, Israeli Salad, Fried Eggplant, Creamy Tahini salad
Each registrant will receive a list of materials to bring to the session (for live cooking with Adva) and digital recipe cards. Register before Thursday, April 8th, and receive a free Israeli Spices Starter Pack + printed recipe cards from Adva in time for the live session!
