Usually, the host of the seder officiates. Sometimes that role is given to a grandparent or other relative. Some families invite guests to bring “parts of the seder” in addition to a dish to share. Then when you get to that part of the seder, the guest leads it. Still, the host is the master or mistress of ceremonies and will want to take the role of orchestrating all the parts seriously.
